STORY: CHERUB fan Ricky Begonia faces a battle for life following a savage attack by a hamster. The hamster, known as Millie, is thought to have chewed through five reinforced titanium bars in order to escape from its cage, before going on a rampage through the sleepy Shropshire village of Fragheam. Ricky, aged 13, was sitting in his garden reading CHERUB: The Recruit when the animal pounced, sinking its teeth in and biting the boy's head clean off. While surgeons battled to reattach Ricky's head in an 18 hour operation, police marksmen gunned down the rogue rodent as it made a bold attempt to escape on a Honda moped. After emerging from a ten day coma, Ricky sprung up
from his bed and announced: Everyone here at CHERUB News wishes Ricky a speedy recovery. Author Robert Muchamore has generously sent him a signed
copy of the sequel, CHERUB - Class A, which is published October
14th by Hodder Children's books.

AUTHOR'S
MESSAGE:
Howdy CHERUB fans! First off, thanks for joining CHERUB, especially the members who took time to send me all those nice comments. Thousands of children's books get published every year. Most new authors like me crash, burn and are never heard of again. But I want to be one of the rich and successful ones; with a flash car, a big house and a fit girlfriend. Preferably a supermodel, or at the very least a TV weather girl. So, I need my fans to help me out. Don't let that copy of the Recruit sit on a shelf picking its nose. Lend it to someone so that they get into CHERUB as well. Tell all your friends, siblings, cousins, teachers, librarians and pets about CHERUB. Get them to read the books and join up. As you can see from the picture, I'm pretty desperate. I can't even afford a razor or a decent hat at the moment. Enjoy the rest of your summer holidays, Robert Muchamore P.S. If you've got any comments or questions on CHERUB books, CHERUB News or CHERUB Campus, you can e-mail me at: mail@cherubcampus.com I do my best to answer everyone who contacts me.
