I'm really proud of this story. In some ways The Recruit is all about setting up James' character and making the reader understand how CHERUB works, while this is the first proper CHERUB mission.

This is also the only CHERUB book where the US version has a different title to the UK original. The reason? Simon Pulse felt that American readers wouldn't understand the original title Class A, because it refers to the British system of classifying illegal drugs
